Suggested reading list

There are lots of books available that write about hysterectomies. Many I have read I have not been impressed with. The books below cover the real and true consequences of hysterectomy. They are not the ‘everything will be alright’ type of books. You can not make an informed decision with that type of information. If you are having any problems, you also do not need to read that type of propaganda. I am sure most will already have that from some of the medical profession.

The ultimate rape by Elizabeth L Plourde ISBN 0-9661735-0-3
Excellent book. In the UK it can not be bought in shops, that I know of. Have to purchase it though Amazon.co.uk
Elizabeth was given a routine hysterectomy however she was not told the true implications. Excellent book. It was he first one I read and after everyone telling me I was not reacting ‘normally’ after reading a small part of this I felt so much better.

No more hysterectomies Vicki Hufnagel ISBN 0-452-26255-0
Excellent book. In the UK it can not be bought in shops, that I know of. Have to purchase it though Amazon.co.uk
By a doctor , I understand she did work in America. Excellent from a different point of view. Gives some case studies that many will not want to believe. On what I have heard from other people, I know them to be true.

The case against hysterectomy Sandra Simkin 0-04-440978-8
This lady has been campaigning against unnecessary routine hysterectomies. It covers some other areas not covered by the above two. Has been helpful to some ladies.

The no hysterectomy option, your body your choice. Herbert A Goldfarb 0-471-16557-3
I still have not finished this book. So far it is another good book. Again covering true consequences.
