I kept being told that this operation was very rare. From the way I was dealt with I did not beleive it. My doctor had also told me that it happened to 2 - 3 'women' per hospital per year (there are about 180 - 200 maternity hospitals .: 400 - 600 people a year). To me that was not rare! When I was at university I had a friend that had a rare illness, their definition of rare, 3 in the north of the country. I found that I was getting very little help from the hospitals so tried this department ...
