..... spinal block forcs, epidural then given whilst in htu for pain relief
could not get needle in due to not having maternity needle

/ not allowing a birth in the 'home suite', being given 'senior' midwives for
the delivery? ..... no

was in theatre for longer than usual as I had a tear on my abdomen wall (first
transfusion given then)

recovery room

to stem the bleeding? ..... no
9. What was done to stem the bleeding? ..... Hamobate given, constant
uterine massage for 4 hours

None (only family) and visits from midwife

home visits, although pain level was not under control due to nerve damage
How were you treated by your midwife? ….. Guiltly, she
looked though my notes on first visit and said I wasn’t the only one to
have missed it was breech
How were you treated by your Health Visitor? ….. Well
but little understanding told I would be fine as our family talked about situation

was not able to breastfed at all had several failed attempts...

Was an internal review undertaken to see hat happened and if mistakes coul be
learnt from? (Anna was told this was standard practice with such an outcome)

..... Was given a brief account whilst still in hospital told the rest by my
partner.
